This month we are introducing you to Grand Rapids based Jennifer Knapp of Serene Body Essentials! We know you like being able to put faces to the name, but Jennifer did not sent us a photo to use, so your best bet for that is to check her out on Instagram if you want to get that extra personal touch. We are, however, excited to be able to tell you a little more about her and her small business!

It all started when she was having trouble finding deodorant. After doing some research on various products and ingredients she started making her own. As with many of the makers we’ve met and featured over the years, the rest from there is history. Family and friends started asking Jennifer if they could purchase her body care items and she decided to make a business out of it after receiving many requests. Serene Body Essentials was born in 2013 with the goal of providing affordable body care products with all natural ingredients.

Initially it started as more of a hobby, but it quickly grew into a full time gig. Jennifer says her favorite part of the business is her customers. She loves interacting with them and even has many repeat customers each with their own favorite products and special reasons why. Popular items among her customers are beer soaps and lip balms.
